Established in 1904 R.P.A is one of the longest standing angling clubs in the Country. Originally a river and match orientated club the R.P.A still maintains its heritage but has diversified to over the years to offer a wide range and variety of venues to suit every type of angler.
Offering angling to over 600 members, the club has continued to invest in the quality of it's fishing and now owns at least one bank of fishing from Hutton Beck to Newby Hall.
Looking into the future the club is keen to see more juniors on the banks which is reflected in our membership pricing and we have made a section of Ripon Canal entirely free to juniors under 16 accompanied by an adult.

For just £70 per year from any point of view it's only fair to say that the R.P.A is a club that has a heck of a lot on offer. Boasting over 8 miles of River Ure including deep water and streams sections, exclusive access to the prolific specimen carp venue, Ripon Racecourse, mixed species venue Ure Bank Pond, the entirety of Ripon Canal and 2 miles of the River Laver, there really is something for everyone, anglers old and young.
